Stump Pass State Park Beach is located on the south end of Manasota Key and parking is limited. Boaters can arrive from the bay side and avoid the parking hassles. No lifeguard. Enjoy a mile long walk to the end of the beach, past the inlet and back onto the gulf-side. Restrooms are available.
Chadwick Park /Englewood Beach. The main beach of the area has a large parking area - metered parking - close to shops and restaurants. The boardwalk and facility were rebuilt in 2002 and include a children's play area, volley ball and basketball courts. Picnic tables and shelters are also available as are restrooms. Shell sculture

Enjoy the shell sculpture at the roundabout,which was done by artist Malcolm Roberson and dedicated in 2007. Roberson stayed at the Hermitage in 2003.

The Middle Beach, or Blind Pass Beach, has free parking, in a large lot across the street from the beach, and also includes a playground as well as a launch for canoes and kayaks into Lemon Bay. A 60 acre nature trail off the parking lot provides another amenity along with restrooms and outdoor showers.

At the north end of Manasota Key is Manasota Beach. The parking is free and other amenities include restrooms, a boardwalk, picnic shelters, grills and a year-round lifeguard. A boat launch is located directly across the street from the beach with parking available for boat trailers.

All four beaches are wonderful places to find shells and shark teeth, swim in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, relax in the sun and read a book, or fish from the waters edge.

Each summer sea turtles also enjoy the beaches of Englewood when females begin arriving to nest late at night beginning in the month of May and continuing into September. It takes about 1-3 hours for the nesting female to lay her eggs before returning to the water. Hatchlings start emerging from the nest between 47 -75 days later and start their dash to the sea. Nesting sea turtles are timid and vulnerable and may be easily frightened away if they are disturbed.

Each day volunteers search the beach area during the season to locate fresh nests and mark the area with tape to protect the nest. Sea turtles are protected by law. Please leave the turtles, nests , eggs and hatchling alone.

The Englewood airport, Buchan Field, is a grass strip for general aviation light aircraft only. Venice Municipal Airport handles general aviation and corporate aircraft including jets and is located 12 miles north of Englewood.
Sarasota International Airport, 45 miles north of Englewood, offers scheduled airline service.
Southwest Florida International Airport is located 70 miles south, close to Ft. Myers and also has scheduled airline service.
Tampa International Airport is the largest airport, located 90 miles to the north, and has the most number of domestic and international flights. Additional transportation is provided by taxi, car rental or limo.

State Road 776 provides convenient access to Englewood connecting with U.S.41 and I-75 via Jacaranda Boulevard (Exit 193) or River Road (Exit 191).
